“The whole experience felt like stepping back into another era, with so much history packed into such an incredible landscape. The owner - guide, Cal, was friendly, passionate and full of knowledge about the canyon and its past. The combination of the audio commentary and Cal's insights along the way really brought the history of the area to life. The views were spectacular. Finishing the day with a stop at the pub was a really nice touch and the perfect way to wrap everything up. I came away feeling like I'd experienced a side of New Zealand that I otherwise would have missed. Couldn't recommend it more highly.”

And then there was the dog Aster— absolutely adorable. Honestly, Aster deserves its own 5-star review.
